Vitality is the power giving continuance of life, exuberant physical strength or mental vigor. We envision a world of vitality—a vibrant earth that in turn enables us to live with vigor.
As one of the founders, what we are building is deeply personal.
I am a long-distance mountain runner. When my lungs burn and muscles scream for oxygen on a climb, when I run through the forest at night and watch dawn break over a summit, I realize how deeply connected we are to the earth.
Coming from a background in biology and genetics, I am in awe of nature’s beautifully balanced and complex systems.
We designed the Vitality Fund to fuel entrepreneurs creating high potential solutions inspired by and deeply respectful of the way that nature works across sectors like agriculture, apparel, and the built environment.
Why Now?
From the highly visible survival requirements of water, air, and nourishment to the less obvious impacts on gut bacteria and immune systems, we are inextricably linked to nature.
Advances in tech and AI have increased our collective capacity in many ways, but we have simultaneously broken our symbiotic relationship with the earth. The consequences are evident—degraded soil, polluted water, unhealthy bodies and minds.
The status quo is not working. It is time for a paradigm shift.
Investors are calling for 11 trillion USD of investment in nature-based solutions by 2050 and citing loss of biodiversity as a significant impact on financial performance by 2030.
Time to invest in tech, tools, and products that work with and respect the systems, cycles, and processes of nature.
